• Setting up Mult-Factor Authentication (MFA)

    • Multi-Factor Authentication (or MFA) is something you will need whenever you want to login to your college account and you are not on site at the college. It is an extra layer of security that stops people being able to hack into your account and protects your data. Many companies use MFA to enable their employees to safely login from wherever they are, whether visiting another location for work, travelling or from their homes. Derby College's MFA allows you to log into the college network if you are at your workplace, at home or anywhere off site (as long you have access to an internet connection).  It works by sending a pin number to your phone that you can type into your laptop or other device, which will confirm that its you logging in.
